That blessed one who reads this protection, which is blessed with power of Lord Shiva, would get all his desires fulfilled and attain nearness to Lord Shiva after death.
Due to the protection given by names of Shiva, planets, ghosts and ghouls, which travel in any of the three worlds, would run immediately, far, far away,
Abhayam karanamedam kavacham Parvati pathet,
Bhaktya bibarthee yah kanthe, tasya vashyam jagat trayam,
Imam Narayanah swapne Shiva Raksham yatha disath,
Pratar uthhaya yogeendro, Yagnavalkya tatha likhet. 10
This armour of the names of the consort of Parvati, would remove fears and provide protection to the devotees who sing these often.
And the lord of the three worlds would be within his hold.
As this protection of Lord Shiva was revealed, by Lord Vishnu in the dream to Yagnavalkya who wrote it, as he was told, as soon as he woke up in the morning.
For those who want to feel the vibrations and the effect:
Listen to the Stotram with good ear/head phones. When the Stotram is playing, calm your breathing, relax and close your eyes and imagine yourself as part of Lord Shiva’s body. As you see Lord Shiva and You as the same body, fill the body with Golden Light.
After it fills up, let the light start to emit out of the body and into earth. As you see the Earth saturate with the Light, let the light spread into sky.
And when Earth-sky is fully Golden , let the Light illuminate the space and then similarly on to our galaxy and other galaxies.
Visualise everything Glowing in Golden Light and the Golden in entirety merging into Lord Shiva. Let the Blessing of Lord Shiva envelope You.
As the Stotram ends , slowly open your eyes.
